now lads,i have an X reg turbo with a low ratio box in and i was wondering about changing it for a standard uk spec kind. the car has been a police car and so has all the prodrive goodies on eg.sti ecu,prodrive turbo pipes ,sti g.box? fitted.
If changed will the rear diff need swaping with box,and prob.speedo as well to mach up with box.

ANY advice appriciated

 

Yes, most certainly though if it was a UK Police Car unlikely that they would have changed it for a Jap spec g box.......

Welcome on board, you still got the blues & twos as they could aid in rush hour traffic......check that its no longer registered to the Police......

 

if it is not a jap spec box,then what sort will it be? definatly lower ratio than my own uk spec.
