I've got an STi5 Type R which I want to decat but don't want to increase the noise levels too much (as I leave for work quite early). It's got the bog standard exhaust (round STi tailpipe which I like) so I think the first stage would be to de-cat the centre section.

Which one should I go for that will go straight on (thus retaining the standard backbox) or do I need a new back box too?? What sort of cost am I looking at?

Advice appreciated.
Thanks
SS23.

SS23, doing a group buy for h&s bb and centre which may be what your looking for. Makes all the right noises and full decat so should improve performance. If your interested see thread in same section

Cheers

If you're not wanting noise, then any resonated centre section should be OK. I know that Magnex make one - not sure if the H&S one is resonated.
