Last night I changed my induction kit back to the original air box. When I taking it off my MY00 there was a
bracket about 7" long that held the induction kit steady and was bolted from the base of the engine bay to roughly where
that round baffle that takes the MAF is.
I wasn't to sure was this part of the induction kit or was it originally on the car from day one to keep the airbox steady.
It was awkward to fit the original box with the bracket so I left off. Should it stay on to keep extra stability in case too much vibration blows the MAF or is it not part of the original box at all?

The bracket is part of the induction kit not the air box. The air box is held by two bolts both on the engine side of the box.

Hope that helps
