Question

Any one had trouble with noise regs at track days with the full de-cat mongoose system? If so can you get round it with an extra box on the back?

Cheers

Andy.

I don't think you'll get any probs with a Mongoose system.
I have a full Scorpion which is probably a bit louder, and I've never had any probs.

Cool

Andy,

I have full Mongoose system and it sounds the bizz, albeit loud, but not silly levels!

I noticed you're from Winchester, as I am originally and will be around that area on the 30th, 31st Aug and 1st of September - email me on my profile address and let me know if you want to meet up!

Cheers,

Jon.

I have a full mongoose system and it just sings a song. Everytime I start the car I can't keep myself from smiling. It is the 3.5inch tail pipe and although loud it is not obtrusive, sitting at 75-80 it is fine.
Off course I still find myself driving country roads with my back left window just to hear that note!!!

Cool

I compete at Harewood Hillclimb in Leeds and have a full de-cat Mongoose system. Its well within the MSA regs, and sounds fantastic echoing up the climb

Well, I had it fitted yesterday at Powerstation - Thanks Nick. I would be interested to see anyone else's as is very different to the ones anyone else has seen. It has a sliding joint with spring clips on the down pipe. Its bloody loud too, not much at low revs, but when you get to about 3K all hell is lose. It has also increased the torque by loads.

If anyone tries to steal it in the dead of night I'll know straight away!!

Thumbs up

I often find myself turning off the radio and opening the rear left window to hear the melody esp. on narrow walled roads :-)

So its not just me then !
