I have learned that to incorporate a charge vessel in the line between the inlet manifold and the wastegate effectively holds the wastegate closed while the turbo spins up to max boost earlier.
The charge vessel could be an empty aerosol can appropriately modified to accept some tubing.
Any members tried this tweak?

Cool

Prepare to hit the ecu overboost cutout... ! The turbo control piping generally controls spin up overboost by means of restrictors placed in the hoses... maybe you would be better off trying this method first?

Red face

If the boost rises above its normal peak level(0.75 bar on my 93WRX) would the standard ECU add more fuel?
Or would the mixture lean out? Obviously I wouldnt want this to happen, thanks

The philosophy of this tweak is: The can being 'T'd into the wastegate line ,has to pressurise , before the wastegate even begins to open.
Result -faster spooling of the turbo as no losses are occuring prematurely via the wastegate.

Thumbs up

Nearly with you Rob, where would this be teed in? On the boost pressure line to the solenoid, or the line from the solenoid to the waste gate acutator? Sorry to ask so many questions!
Thanks ROB

Rob,
I am by no means an authority on this mod - but I believe an additional T is incorporated into the line just before the wastegate.
I'm getting the bits together and will advise if successful once installed .

Regards,

Rob
