I have had added a T75 mid section and back box from PE - does the ECU need to be re-mapped with these mods?

If so is this something they will do on a Rolling Road Test?

Also if I added a Green panel filter would I need a re-map again?

thanks

Thumbs up

Hi Adam

You should be fine with the mods you have, though if you do want to get your ECU fettled I am running a Group Buy for PE Phase 2 / Tek 2 ECU remap.

Your breathing mods are really the first stage tune, the ECU is usually the 2nd stage.

Read all about it HERE !

Cheers

Neal

thanks for that - do you mean that adding the exhaust parts and air filter don't requrie a re-map until I add a new ECU?

Can't I have the stock ECU remapped?

Adam

With the exhaust and filter change, you have freed up some horses and made your car run a lot more freely.

I'll assume you have a Classic shape scoob and therefore you still have a CAT in the down pipe. This should be your next mod as it will free up more horsey's

Personally i wouldn't consider a re-map yet as you still have the CAT in the downpipe and i would also recommend Samco Intercooler Hoses for better performance when running a higher boost

So get these done first and then go for a custom Tek3 map which will take full advantage and also be tailored to suit your car and its mods.

The re-map will get rid of your CEL light (caused by lack of CAT's)

Speak to pat@22b.com and he will sort you out with any q's or problems

Buzzer thanks for that - I did also get a T75 downpipe which I beleive doesn't have a cat in it - I think the only cat is in the mid section (as it passed the MOT fine)

Also the car come with Samco coolent kit fitted

So next it a Tek3 map - I tkae it rhis requires an ECUTek ecu to be fitted as I can't use the stock ecu??

Also the Green panel filter - should I get this first?

As for RRT @ PE - they wouldn't do any remapping? just make sure all the sensors are working etc?

Dont get the Green filter, you will get just as much flow from an OE STi High flow filter (£22.00 plus vat) You'll get 2 of these for the price of the green and just as good.

EcuTek Map3 just re-maps your existing ecu. Not sure about your model Scoob so i would just drop Pat Herborn an e-mail just to make sure everything is okay............... pat@22b.com

You can't TeK your car, too old. Best option is probably a ScoobyECU (See David Wallis or Scott T for further info).
