Question

I took the motor for a good blast this weekend on some of my favorite roads. During this I noticed that I changed up a few times just past 7k. Will this hurt my engine if it only happens a few times? Are there rev limiters I can fit?

Any advice or comments most welcome.

Cool

There is a rev-limiter fitted anyway that comes in at about 7500rpm on the UK cars, so it will protect you.

(IIRC, it's about 8200rpm on the STi/P1)

Cool

Changing up at 7000 isn't so bad.

Just be very careful not to try to change down at similar revs, this would be a bad idea that even the rev-limiter couldn't do anything about!

Thumbs up

Cheers chaps. My mind is at rest, I am still getting use to the rather rapid acceleration.
