Red face

I recently enquired to Graham Goodes about there ecu conversions for my MY99 which they replied and said "Reference the ECU upgrade we do not offer a conversion for that model and know of no genuine alternative." So what does this mean im left with, If there is no genuine alternative and im also to be aware of "Please be aware of cheap PCB Boost cutters"

Thanks

Dom

There are a number of alternatives:

Prodrive Performance Pack. Available from all Subaru dealers, and will keep your warranty intact.

Link ECU - A number of suppliers available, but Bob Rawle seems to be the acknowledged expert and guru regarding these (

try a car with link ecu before you make up your mind you will be converted. i have MY99 link ECU and all the trimmings the best performance upgrade you can make to your car. where are you based? bob Rawle is the man to speak to though. the best thing about the link system is you can tune the car just to your driving style.

Fully endorse LINK - I also have one on a Phase II engine (the tricky one for aftermarket ECU tuners - it is very difficult to chip).

Unichip has been applied very successfully - as well check out the Dynomite website.

Personally I think that LINK is the more rounded product.

For superluxury consider MoTEC - it will cost around £2000 plus VAT in your car, tuned and ready to go.

There are others, but not really used in the UK, mostly Oz, check out the various sites down under - or search here for ECU/Chip.

Wink

I have had both Prodrive PPP and now on my UK MY99. The Link has the advantage of being mappable for your car specifically and when you change other components such as exhaust, induction, turbo

Bob Rawle is the MAN and it would be well advised to take a trip down to let him supply/install and set up. I wouldnt advise a relative novice to start playing with it themselves
