Why do all the specifications that come with the MY99 Impreza Sport say that it has that same air filter/location as the MY99 UK turbo.
On reading modifications that people have done to theirs in the past on the bbbs , i decided to get an Induction kit fitted. Well they tried to put the Blitz one in , and after looking under the bonnet , they found out that the air filter is in the totally wrong position and that the location is totally different to what the magazines/companies say.
I have been told that unless a company finally decide to start making them for the sport then , nothing will fit. Is there any Air filter/Induction kit that will fit? and why is it positioned different from what all the publications say? Can anyone help?

Hi

I'm getting a Biltz induction kit fitted to my car, and it fits fine, I have a 1.6 Impreza MY99, its the same engine configuration and the Sport (being a non turbo).

Cheers

Bob.

How do you know it fits fine if you haven't got it yet?

Sorry stef, I should have added, because people my age just can't afford to insure a turbo there alot of 1.6 around. And the shop that's ordering the induction kit fitted one to another car, the same as mine but different color.

Cheers
