Turbo Lag
#1
Hi guys,
So far on my 'V' I have a SS Backbox and Mid-section and a Blitz induction kit.
After I fitted the induction kit (ITG before this) I started to notice more Turbo Lag than I previously had with just the backbox and mid-section. (in my opinion the lag is v.BAD, although once the turbo is on full tilt, the pickup seems stronger with the Blitz, (phycological?))
What I'd like your opinion on (Jay, PC, Bob, Darren et al) is if you think that the original downpipe could be causing the extra lag?
I'm not asking if a third party Downpipe will improve things (it obviously will and I will be getting a SS downpipe asap).
I'm more interested (curious) if my thinking is correct, that having most of the system as free flowing as possible but a restriction in the downpipe, can cause the amount of extra Lag I (think) I am experiencing?
Have BP petrol stations changed to 97RON, if so can this be causing more lag?
Cheers,
Dave.
