Unhappy

i AM SORRY BUT i am new to the "chip" world
I am the proud owner of Subaru Impreza U.K. spec car.

I have a very important question concerning management chips.(E.C.U.)

There is a variety of "chips" being sold for the U.K. Subaru, but:-

Which one is the best?????

Are these chips made by one company,
which are then despatched to different Supplies????

As these "chips" are expensive(£400-£600+), I would be grateful if you
can supply me with as much information as possible.

I am trying to purchase the best one for my car but I am getting
conflicting and biased information from "own brand supplies" of these
"chips".

Some of the comments made by these "supplies" of other "branded" chips
were very immature and childish!!!

I like to purchase a "chip" which will not only give more torque/bhp
but also keep my car on the road, not in a garage due to mis-mapping
or faults from the chip, longer for me to enjoy!!!

At the moment I have counted about 4 different "chips" if the
"supplies" are all making their own "chips". All producing around 30-40bhp and ???torque.

Thanking you in advance and keep up the independent advice on products!

Karlo,

P.s. my car is a 96 N reg U.K. subaru with cat bypass, magnex backbox and pipercross
induction kit.

p.s is there any Manchester subaru owners with "chips" please e-mail me!!!!

Avoid any chips/ecu's that are not remapped for YOUR engine, It is very worthwhile reading the FAQ and reading through the posts under the drivetrain and miscellaneous headings that have recently dealt with this.

personly I am running a Power Engineering Phase 1 remap, with some odd Japanese exaust on it, and standard filtration and am getting 284 bhp on 95RON unleaded so far (5-6 months) no problems at all.
Mind you Power Engineering are west of London so it may be too much of a distance.

Why not turn up at Donnington (see Events) and have a chat to people?
