MY99 Gearbox probs.

My 99MY has just started jumping out of 5th gear ? and it has been possible for me to beat the syncro going into 3rd when driving reasonably hard, gives a lovely embarrasing crunch. I am going ot mention this to my dealer on Monday, has anybody else experienced this in a 99MY car? The car has just had its 15000 mile service.

I have a 99MY and I'm experiencing what you get in your third gear with my fifth gear. My car has only covered 7000 miles and is booked in for a service tomorrow.
I have told the dealers the problem and they will look at it, will let you know of out come.

Dealers(Ace Kensington) checked the car out and confirmed that there is a problem with fifth gear synchro. They said that Subaru in Japan are looking at the problem because it is becoming quite common on 99MY. In fact they fixed a car with the problem and it came back after a few thousand miles. So I'm waiting now to see what happens, will let you know when I have more news.
