Has anyone removed the two covers underneath the Bonnet Vents? Mine is a 1993 WRX (Old style vent, not grille type).

Are there any problems with water ingress (Battery/Fuse box or Airbox/Air Flow Meter)?
Does it make a difference to cooling?

Cheers, Richie.

I've got a 96 STI and have not removed the vents, but even so water got down through and came out of the small hole in the bottom of the shroud, dropped onto a multiplug and the engine hesitated and then died! AA did not have a clue, it was recovered back and PE found the cause
