GO FOR MOBIL -1

BETTER KNOWN AS MOBIL MOTOR SPORT

SAE 10 OR 15W - 50 , SHOULD COVER THE ENTIRE
AMBIENT TEMP RANGE WHERE YOU LIVE,
UNLESS IT GETS REAL COLD IN WHICH CASE YOU MUST USE THE APPROPRIATE OIL FOR THAT SORT
OF CLIMATE.

HAPPY MOTORING

After speaking to someone who is invoved in racing a 911 GT2 (twin turbo 640 BHP)they recommended that i use Redline 10-50.This oil is used by almost every touring car in the series. This must surely speak for it's self !!

I use Shell Helix Ultra which meets Subaru spec and is a full synthetic.

I use Silkolene Turbolene because the boys at Roger Clark Motorsport claim it stays in grade throughout a long stage, unlike Mobil. I don't rally, but it seems sensible to follow their advice. It's fully synthetic, whatever that means.

We only use Silkolene Pro S 10w50.

It is 100% Ester Polymer. This is the static stuff that Castrol Magnatec uses, but Castrol only contains 40%.

Silkolene say it will stay in grade for 100,000 miles and you only change it because the engine is constantly poluting any oil in it.

If the car is left un-used for 6 weeks, there is still 50 microns of oil coating all of the internals. Most damage is done to engines on start up.

Subaru Technical Dept have approved this oil.

Sounds good to me, where can you buy it?
Any petrol stations would be good news so it can go on the fuel card.

p.s. Pete any news on the intercooler & radiator guards?
