I have had my 98 sti iv up on the ramp today and on general inspection have noticed that the cv boot joints have some movement both up and down and in and out.

Although it is not massive movement I consider it something to be worried about.


Does anyone know the tolerance’s allowed had any experience?

My local motorsport chaps although more than capable, suggested that I took it to my local Scooby dealer to see if they new the tolerances but unfortunately when it comes to sti's they are like chocolate teapots.

Can anyone please advise?
