Question

Due to absolutely ******* up the bottom screw on the standard fuel pressure reg. whilst trying to change it, i suspect the fuel rail will have to come off so i can get at whats left of the screw.

Is it easy getting the rail off? and what other parts do i need to remove to enable me to get the rail out?

Used the Search in the hope of finding a step by step guide but found naff all.

All help greatly appreciated

easy

remove header tank and inlet gubbins.

undo pipes at each end (you may need to cut the one on the std reg) and undo the 2 m8 screws (12mm head) that hold the rail on to the manifold.

unplug injectors

Don't lose the 2 rubber washer things when removing the rail.

I think you will also need to remove a small screw that supports one end of a pipe somewhere, maybe.

Either way it's not too bad.

The screw you have rounded, annoyingly, isn't a posidrive, it's a plain crosshead, which might be why you rounded it.
