My 1993 imported impreza turbo is pressurising the cooling system, the cylinder heads have been crack tested, both head gaskets have been replaced and the heads refaced. The thermostat has also been replaced. All of this work was carried out last week. When the engine is reved hard in the workshop the radiator hoses swell visably. Small bubbles also appear in the expansion tank when the pressure cap is removed. Any ideas or has anyone encountered similar problems ?

Dont forget the turbo bearing housing is water cooled, so may be pressurising from there. as that is the closest source for turbo pressure to force across under pressure.
