Ecutek remapping
#1
I assume Ecutek remapping is just a base map and software.
So what would i need to map my car myself?
A sensitive lambda sensor, relable knocklink, connectors and the software?
Then it's just a case of setting the fuel cut and target boost, flashing up a base map, then adjusting the timing while keeping the fueling right.
I know the standard ECU can't be mapped on the fly, but if there's one thing i have plenty of, it's time.
What's gear judge?
Am I way off the mark here or is this a possibility?

Mike,
You could save a lot of money by selling the PPP ECU for over 400pounds and buying a cheap standard AE802 ECU, from a MY00, to do the mapping on. It's not worth remapping your PPP ECU. They are worth a bit.
Cheers,
George.
