Question

Anyone know of a company that supplies custom intake hoses ?

In looking for the inlet pipe from the MAF to the turbo, with no extra inlets for oil breather/ dump valve.

Should add it's a MY95 so TD05 turbo.

The Phase 1 has an 80mm MAF housing and a 65ish mm turbo inlet..

With a Samco 70mm 90deg elbow and a small bit of 80mm straight samco and a 70mm diamter bit of steel or ally tube you can slot it all togather..

I have half done it but still currnetly using standard rubber pipes but removed the horrible resonator

Make your own with some std size Samco and 63mm Stainless tube.

Have a word with Alan Garrod this is what he did, but you don't have to use any welded pipework.

Or, if you're going straight entry, something like this.

Already have lost the resonator and replaced it with a metal 'cone' to reduce the diameter, but will still need this cone as it also feeds to a sensor on the manifold.

Sorry I missed the MY in your first post, I was talking about front entry obviously.

Marks photos do look interesting!

Cool

I am currently doing this as well at the moment. Currently I have an 80mm 45 degree bend from the MAF to an MRT inlet plenumb and am currently using the standard hose from the plenumb to the turbo. Once I have got my catch tank installed and have rerouted the breathers to it, I am going to change this for a 90 degree 70mm-60mm reducing elbow (MRT exit is 68mm and turbo entry is 58mm). Samco don't have this part listed (though they could probably make it) so I have found a company called SFS preformance who do list it.http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk

Here is a pic of what I currently have in place

I am not sure how much preformance improvement this gives (I have been doing a lot of upgrades lately so difficult to assess individualy) and its not exactly cheap !! Blitz £150 Samco bend £30 MRT inlet £50 SFS bend £30 so £260 all in

and the best bit is all anybody tells me when I say i need other things tuning is take the Blitz off!!!!

hope this helps

Ali G

P.S. anybody know what the white connector to the left of the MAF is I found it disconnected and nothing to connect it to ??

It is the old 'Cat on Fire' sensor lead. If you have a Decat downpipe the sensor is disconnected/thrown away and left with the plug/lead you have there. The sensor basically goes at the bottom of the std downpipe and senses if the exhaust gas is too hot (ie. cat is on fire) when you swap to decat the sensor is no longer needed and gets discarded with the STD downpipe.
