Question

As per the title, What would be the perfect inlet path to the turbo? Straight Pipe? Diameter?

Is there a Calculation to work out the correct inlet pipe length between filter & turbo?

As short as possible, with around a 15 degree gradient down to the turbo compressor inlet diameter.

Practicality of sucking in warm air screws this a little....which is where the fun begins

Wink

So a filter mounted directly onto the Turbo would be the best solution in terms of inlet length but I would have to channel some cold air towards it?

Question

Carlos, Thanks, seen that picture before, APS DR550 turbo, doesn't show the inlet filter though, only a clocked turbo.

David, how do I seal a 100mm intake pipe onto a 72mm turbo inlet, PTFE?

LOL

Only joking M8

One thing I did notice about the APS upipe with T off for the external waste gate (see picture)that branch off must affect / disrupt gas flow into the turbo when the wastegate is closed. A sort of dead leg in the system????

Of course..

My Intake trumpet is Lateral Performance, he also supplies the filters and hose..

My hose was sourced off ebay until I cooked it then mark gave me a piece of 100mm

David

I think the block with all the brake pipes attached on the new age cars is further back, right where the filter is. It'll move I think!
