Question

I recently tried to get fitted a quick shift lever but was told that i could no longer do this as i had a dead lock going into the gearbox. Now i'm not to sure myself but i thought the quick shift lever was a totaly seperate piece of kit and that the dead lock goes directly into the gearbox?
Any advice/thoughts would be helpfull.

I think you are right. I had a deadlock on my old UK turbo (1999)fitted by a Scooby dealer etc, and I'm sure the gear lever 'upright' part is away from the dead lock slide bolt.
If in doubt talk to Andrew Burt Subaru in Solihull West Midlands, top guy.
Graham.
