i have a sti 5 type r and about a week ago it started crunching whenever i change from 4th to 5th at over 60mph it goes in fine just makes a small crunching noise. it seems to be more to do with the revs than the speed as if i excellerate up 2 about 80 and leave my foot on the clutch and let the revs drop right down before changing up it doesent do it. any help would be much appreciated before i phone the dealer i got it from as i have only had the car 4 about 3 months

 

someone must have a idea what the problem could be

 

Can't be ceratin without seeing it though:

1 Thrust/ spigot bearing gone
2 Clutch gone
3 Gears/synchros gone

1&2 new clutch
3 Strip down gearbox & see for certain
