My MY97 has been diagnosed with slap after 80,000 miles and is apparently a bad case.
Is every piston slap job automatically a replacement oversized piston or do they get more complicated?
If the slap has been going on for sometime, wouldn't the bore get significant wear. If the wear is too great then is a new liner needed (if they exist in an MY97) or is it a new short block time?

Any comments from those with similar stories.

Thanks

Nick

I wonder if it is an easy job?
By the way Steve, an AUS 2.XT is £17429 before tax. I must find out how much to import and get on our roads.

Do that. I might be interested in 18 months (once I have finished with this one )
