Am asking the question for a mate who is thinking of buying an STI7 or STI8. He's been used to over 350bhp with his Cossie, so what is involved getting 340bhp from one of the above?

I have an STI8 and I enquired a few months ago to Scoobtsport, they recon'd 340bhp was easily obtainable with minor risk to the engine. The price of £1400 included Ecutek re-map, full de-cat exhaust, uprated fuel pump (I think).
Boost was increased to 1.4bar at 3200rpm.
Trouble was all warranty cover would be shot to pieces, and with a new car that's quite a risk. Probably why most people go for the 300bhp "warranty friendly" PPP
