They are cheap but from reading scoobynet they are noisy and closed neck design therefore more restrictive, althogh anything that removes the catalyst will increase power.

I gather scoobysport, hayward and scott are the most popular with good results and will match up with most systems!! I'll probably buy mine soon to match up with the HKS superdrager i have which is a great exhaust. It seems the worst thing HKS designed is there downpipe!!

I have one fitted on my car and i'm really happy with it. The rest of my exhaust is a Super Drager.

Downpipe adds more noise and power due to no catalyst obstructing exhaust gas flow and engine/turbo noise. Every full exhaust system is different eg.Blitz/HKS hiper = loud++, Magnex/APS quieter. It will be noiser in and outside of the car with increased turbo whistle.

Also supposedly BPM twin dump downpipe quiet(8db less) compared to HKS one which is loud!!

Also do a search for exhaust/ downpipe types on scoobynet.
Downpipe can be twin dump (eg.BPM/Magnex/Scoobmania) or open(H+S,Scoobysport)/closed(HKS/Scorpion)neck. Closed neck blocks off turbo waste gate.

Also exhaust diameter is different for different makes eg.3inch(Blitz/HKS/Scoobmania)or 2.5 inch (scoobyport/tsl etc.)
From what I gather, 3inch bore = more noise but better flow and high range gains if aiming for big power(>350hp). 2.5 inch gives less noise, more midrange pull.

Probably best to meet up with fellow scoobynetters and have a listen to different exhausts. All i have told you is knowledge gained from fellow this website and I have yet to decide on which downpipe I want (probably Hayward and Scott) to match up with my HKS superdrager!!

Anyway enjoy,as any exhaust is better than standard and sure to put a smile on your face!!

Do a scoobynet search for 'HKS downpipe' and read some of the comments.
