...Funny thing you should mention the 'Hyper Madalion' because i was going to ask the same question having seen and heared a Scooby park up outside my appartment. I went to investigate the exhaust and it had Hyper Madalion stamped on its big 5" tailpipe.
It sounded nice. Not loud, but a nice flat four rumble....bit like my Ninja.
smurfy.

I did a search, and apparently they are very big in Japan and the US.
I just bought one, a centre section and back box (used) for £180 fitted.
It wasn't my first choice, but for that price I couldn't say no.
It is quiet untill you hit 5-6000rpm and then it sounds ******* good, it keeps it's deep pitch all the way through the revs.
If you are after a quieter zorst, then this is the one.
Don't think you can get them over here though.

I've got a Tanabe Super Racing Medallion on my 94wrx and it has been measured at 105db. Loud as **** at 4000rpm on motorway! Superb low rumble at idle and doesn't knock at all. Looks very good build quality as well
