Can someone tell me whats involved with fitting a Roger Clarke uprated oil pump.
I know that the timing belt has to come off which dose'nt worry me but what else after that?
Does it simply unbolt and pull out from the front of the engine or is it a sump off job ie, a ball ache!!
Thankyou for any help:}

Gary

Strangeley enough, the only "uprated" thing about these pumps is the oil pressure releif spring. So its a bit expensive an upgrade for something worth a few pence.
if doubting this, wait till you get the old one off, then taske the back cover off and check the pump gears, you will probably find no difference whatsoever, get my point.

actually thats not true.

if you look carefully, you will see that the leading edge of the plunger/piston has a different profiling which renders it less likely to jam.

rcm borrowed this mod from prodrive who did it on all their group n cars.
