v5 sti safc 2 problems

fitted a brand new safc 2 to a v5 sti,have double checked all fittings and settings but engine almost stalls after being reved or when coming to a halt this is the third one i have fitted and is the first time this has happened any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

its super-air flow converter go to www.apexi.com and look it up they explain better than what i can

Bob,

Have you set the deceleration adjustment on it SAFC

What sort of dump valve and induction kit are you using? as you can get this problem with VTA dump valves and big induction kits.

I had the same problem with and HKS VTA dump valve and HKS induction kit. you should be able to get rid of it by altering the deceleration adjustment under the settings menu, but its just a case of trial and error to see what settings are right for your car. I take it you have a air fuel ratio gauge to make sure your not running too lean

have set the dec but still no difference, its running a standard filter and dumpvalve, the car was ok until this was fitted.

it also shows 1.1% air usage when engine is off

The SAFC will come with the default decel adjustment set at 10% and 10% reduce these to 0%, If that doesn't work alter your air flow adjustment at 1000 revs for low throttle.

the dec is inop as standard where it has throttle the setting comes up as stars
