You mean from the MAF (mass airflow sensor)? This wont give you any relevant data unless the backbox is the most restictive part of the system you're trying to flow test.

Even without getting into flow through turbo, i/c and engine - backboxes make no difference to performance of a scoob (IMHO ) with DP cat in. Remove cat from DP and suddenly they make a large difference.

I guess it would be relevant for a single given set of mods, but certainly no 'performance rating' of a given backbox in all situations.

We have been looking at the boxes purely from a rear box design point of view and just wanted to check that the mass flow levels tested are in the right ballpark. We have run cold flow up to approx 500 kg/hr. This is not particularly for a performance mod in this case

If anyone is interested... - it would appear that the STi 7 box is about 2/3 of the flow resistance of the standard turbo rear boxes for either classic or bug-eye vehicles
