perhaps your handbrake is too soft

I think I nearly fried the life out of mine on the island yesterday

Not really advisable to use the handrake - not good for the diff.

If you get some slip when booting it in 3rd, ie revs start rising, then its shagged. Best to get it done sooner rather than later, as you will probably have to have the fly-wheel machined.

Cheapest standard clutch is available here which is £85.. I have one in my car.. must be 11,000miles now and held up today at Evlington
Drag-strip too!!

Cheapest place if you want one fitted and a good job would be Rally Colin colin_minton@hotmail.com he has a workshop in Reading.

I cannot remember what Colin quoted me now..

I changed it myself in the end, not due to the quote though

He was the cheapest.. I think the dealer quoted me £600 all in..

Colin was about half that.. email him etc..
