dump valves are they worth changing????

Ive heard lots of cars go past with really loud bov's but do THEY really make a difference.

For instance if you have a std Scoob is they std recirc adequete or would a forge recirc be better.

Are they for show or do they have a value??

would appreciate comments please

They're purely for show. The only exceptions to this would be cases where the standard valve was leaking - whether due to running higher boost levels than standard, or whether the dump valve itself is faulty, as happened on a few cars.
