Spoke to a friend of mine last night who has just got himself a MY99 uk turbo with full decat and Tek2. I noticed whilst poking about that it has a dawes manual boost controller set at 1.2 Bar, i'm no expert but is that likely to be a safe setup or would it be wise for him to lower the boost to something like 1.0 Bar???

My TEK2 boosts at 1.2 so I'd assume it was safe. But then again I'm no expert!

I have one fitted on mine and it boosts to 1.2 bar but mine drops off higher up the revs where as his holds 1.2 all the way through the revs, just wondered if the ecu will be supplying enough fuel for that boost

Should be ok at that although a knocklink is recommended with a dawes. I have a decat MY99 with a tek2.5 and the boost was usually about 1.2 to 1.25 bar although on occassions it was nearer 1.3 (i.e. winter or when I fired in loads of booster )

Having just taken the dawes off I think the car runs better with just the tek in charge of things
