Simple silly question

I'm not sure of the size, however you can get copper washers that have small holes in but have quite large flanges (Oh err). I use these on most things, as I just drill out to the required diameter. This is if you don't get the required answer before halfords shuts.

The copper washers for the turbo water feed and return, what size are they, and should i be able to buy some or a selection from a Halfords Store?
I have been fiddling with the car, and their now appears to be a white smoke from around the turbo area, but only when i have given it some pedal, ie increased pressure, and the smoke is short lived.
So, as i have had the water pipes off, i am assuming its the copper washers, and shall replace those.
Cant feel any water on idle (burns hands) or once the engine is cold, so assume its coming out under extreme pressure and just evaporating.
