Advice!?
I have a WRX MY00 Bug Eye shape scoob and have recently replaced the air filter for a GREEN filter plus yesterday I had a full custom stainless steel exhaust installed (by passing the second cat) first cat is still in place.
With this done is it worth resetting the ECU? Or does the bug eye ECU work itself out after a few miles!?!

Glyn, without wishing to get into a p*ss*ng contest, the earliest bugeyes were , quite definitely MY01's, irrespective of whether you're talking UK or Japanese market. There is no such thing as a bugeye MY00...
Don't forget that MY stands for model year, not year of registration!

The ECU's on the new age cars will indeed adjust themselves, although there is no specific "adjustment" they can do to account for the alterations you've made.
BTW, it might help to make the header of your post a bit more specific than "Advice"!

It's not weird at all, the entire motor industry works this way, introducing a "new" model year in the preceding September/October. In Subaru's case, it's September.
Like I said, we're talking model year here, not year of registration. It's eminently possible for an MY01 car to have been registered on a 53 plate if it's been sat in a storage yard long enough...
