Question

Hello, I've posted this up in "suspension" but its a little slow compared to here

If anyone can help thatd be great.

Hi,

My mate has a Legacy T Saloon. Its sat on Impreza Suspension comprising RA Struts and STI springs.

We dont know their origin as they were fitted to the car when purchased.

They handle realy well but due to the low ride height he is having problems with bottoming out over speed humps etc.

Can anyone advise if fitting standard UK Impreza springs to the RA struts will help by lifting the ride height or will it just make things worse ??

My own thoughts are that the RA struts have less travel and are a lower in design,So the struts should be changed along with the springs.

Any help will be greatly accepted.

He is back on shore this week and is looking to sort ou the problem as soon as before he loses the exhaust and most of the other bits scraping along the bumps.

Cheers in advance.

Ste.

Surely someone must know??

Just think of it as a much bigger, older and heavier Impreza

Any advice would be good.

Thanks.

Thaks mate.

Thats what I thought too.

My Leg T estate will mostly be having... Impreza Uk struts and Whiteline Leg T estate specific springs so I hope I dont have the same hassle.

Cheers again.
