Clutch pedal to floor, seems to be problem with the fork?
#1
Hi
Twice recently the clutch pedal has stayed n the floor as the fork seems to have jammed in the open position, but the clutch is still engaged. If I fiddle around with the fork I can get it to snap back and operate but then have greatly reduced pedal travel.
Doesnt appear to be anything wrong with the hydraulics. ANyone else got experience of this before I go to the trouble of taking the gearbox off for a closer look?
Cheers

Under the intercooler there is a spring that holds the fork ready to engage. When this spring loses its elasticity too much fluid gets evacuated and the pedal doesn't return.
Renew the spring and it will be fine again.

Thanks Pete.
I think its a bt more serious than that now as the clutch wont disengeage, the pedal is on the carpet and the release lever is waggling free, so some mechanical mayhem has been wrought I fear. Time to whip the box off. Any guesses as to what I might find in there?
Cheers
