Is this possible ? If so what would I need to change/modify to allow it to work.

STi4's are from Sept 1997 to Aug 1998 - Is this piston slap territory ?

Just been down this road. There is alot you need to do to make it fit, more than most would think...

also it needs alot of electrical re-wiring due to there being only two pick ups on the crank for an STi and four for a WRX.

If you need any bits tho i have some left over from my attempt. i didnt finish as i just came of ban and wanted my car back and im selling it soon...

i would say for the hassle and the cost you would be better tuning or rebuilding a WRX lump...

but its upto you, how long can you spare the car as i promise it will be off road for a while...
