i heard you have to modify (take a chunk off) the turbo heatshield to fit any aftermarket downpipe. Can someone explain how i should go about it? thanks

Correct you do have to as the neck of the down pipe is a lot wider than the standard one. All I did is use an angle grinder to cut the opening bigger so that it fits over the d/pipe, Easy it only takes 10 mins !! after cutting it you will find you will have a couple of fixing bolts left as you have cut away where you would use them !

I used a decent pair of 'snips' then filed the edges. Fitted a treat over the 'twin dump' down-pipe

What's the heatshield made of? Does anyone have a pic of the heatshield after the modificatin? Do you need to treat the edge after cutting it away, or just leave it as it is?
