if you've still got a standard downpipe then not too much louder on idle, but you'll notice a big increase when you start to give it some.

Wait till you get the downpipe

I'm about to order both TSL downpipe and centre to go with the Firestorm...

Should be getting it fitted over the weekend...

Will let you know after that.

If you're going for a remap then changing the centre pipe for a catless one is definately a good plan, but if you're not going to remap then the centre section doesn't give you that much gain in power and torque, a couple of horses at the most - not enough to really notice through driving. Though it does make it a little bit louder

I had a decat downpipe and back box with standard centre for about 30 minutes before decatting the centre (long story) and I didn't notice much difference... it's the sort of thing where the throttle response felt better because I expected it to. Don't know if there really was a noticeable gain or not, to be honest.

But, as I said above if you're going the remap router (as I am) then decatting the centre is definately worthwhile for more power gains!

my car already has a re-mapped ecu mate.
I`m not looking for more power just want to know how much noisier it will be.
There is no cat on an STi middle just a resonator box.

I never noticed my car being any louder when I replaced the standard center for a straight-thru, but it made my old scoobysport backbox deeper and more throaty, more kind of 'dugga dugga' if you will

Blitz Nur Spec on now and it's mental.
