what are the accepted norms? if you bought an auto salloon,how much more power would you lose compared to the same model but manual? and................are auto changes quicker or slower than manual changes?

moving through he gears,could a manual car get to 5th quicker than an auto?

Hard to compare because the auto models are down on power than the manual models plus the gearing is quite different.
