Just wondering if anyone knows if an STI 5 intercooler will bolt straight onto an my 99 (one with dv bolted to intercooler) and will there be a slight increase in performance? Or will it just look good!

Cheers,

Ayde.

Ayde

I fitted one to mine

straight fit, took about ten minutes total, I also took the liberty of fitting Samco Hoses too whilst I was at it

Not sure exactly how much difference it does make, but I think it has lowered the temps by a fraction, and I did noticed my boost was slightly higher

edited to add - it does look better too

They do fit but they look identical apart from the colour so I can't see where the extra performance will come from.

Silver reflects heat but black loses it better!

Unhappy

Just changed my STi V3 IC to a BRD IC. Twice as deep but nearly twice the weight too! A lot more aluminium to chill with a CO2/waterspray etc system!
