Question

does any one know if such a thing as a non-power assisted steering rack was ever made for the non-turbo mk2 legacy wagon or, does the mk1's rack fit the mk2's steering rack mounting or, is it possible to run a power rack without the power?

ta in advance.

draining and pluging the extant rack will work will it?

as to why, 1 cos i can; 2 to reduce the non motive load on the motor/increase the available power; 3 improve the tactility of the steering; 4 i fear i'm going too soft with all these driver aids besides it "only" weighs 1300kg
