Question

Just wondering if its worth while changing the stock Air filter for a Green panel filter? Not interested in fitting an induction kit. Are there any issues with this sort of filter? I've heard that some filters have to much oil on them which damages the MAF?!?

Also is it worth getting a stone guard for the intercooler? Mine has a couple of small dents, does anybody else use them here? Car is Turbo 2000 w reg.

Cheers

Would do a search and sure you will find many threads on this subject.

K&N Panel would probably be my advice but many like the ITG.

Thumbs up

I had an ITG in my MY96. Now got an HKS SPF. WOW what a difference. More torque, more BHP. Very noticable change. May be expensive but damn I wish I did it earlier. Mid range is stronger and slightly earlier boost. Far more pops and bangs now.

Oh, and then there's the Recirc dump valve noise. Pitsh chirp.

The ITG panel is the one becoming increasingly well known for encouraging premature MAF sensor failure.

The Green and K&N panels will do the job fine.
