Question

I flushed my cooling system yesterday with some descaling product, and now it looks like its leaking from the water pump gasket. Should I just change the gasket, or would it need a new pump too? Its a 93wrx, probably on the original pump.
Ive done the cam belt before, is it much more work once this is off? any advice welcome.
Thanks, Rob.

Would look closer first, to check if leaking from gasket, or from the impeller shaft seal, but either way, its a cam belt off job, so not much difference really.
trouble is sometimes, when using such descaling fluids, it disturbs a lot of sediment which has built up and protects 2weaker areas" of gaskets and engine cores, simply prefer to reverse water flush myself, works just as good, and only costs time and not money.
