On a Classic, are there any instructions anywhere, or is it gonna be just a case of getting on with it, don't wanna remove the pipe, just the shield, the noise is driving me mad, I wanna weld it up!!

After all that, I think it was rattling cos there was a bolt missing in the top of the shield that covers the drivers side collector, well, I hope it was that anyway!

I have heard that it is possible to weld it back on in place, have not done it myself though, have to be an electric welder of course.
