Alan,
I personally know the guy who owns the patent for the Quaiffe gearkits, they make the gears for him & he usually fits them into your box.(He's based in the Selby area!!)
Personally, I'd only use one if you were going rallying, otherwise a standard box would be quite sufficiant.

Had a 6 speed fitted in my Tuscan race car in 1993.
Great shift, very short and precise.
Also bruised the driver's hand at first with the pressure needed.
Can't see the point on the road though.
