Leaving The Car For Two Weeks
#1
Hi Guys,
I fly off to Greece for two weeks in three hours time (yes, I will have a beer for you all!!!!!)
In terms of leaving the car in the garage for two weeks without it being started at all, is there any good advice going about in terms of what can be done to assist the car through the two weeks?
Do I leave the alarm on, or off for instance?
All advice is appreciated
Thanks guys
Michael

Mine frequently doesn't move for a couple of weeks, & that's sitting on a road, not a garage, so open to a lot more potential nastiness (the joys of London, eh?). Never had a problem at all.
Except with those trees that seem to drop a thin layer of glue over everything.
But I don't think that counts .

Strange that !
I went to the states last October for two weeks and left my MY02 WRX in garage fully alarmed with tracker.
I came home and it was as dead as a dodo. Phoned Subaru and within 1/2 hr the local garage was round and jumped started it. He said that the tracker drains an awful lot of power when a car has been stood for too long
Anyway it started first time and after a good burn up for 1/2hr (coz i'd missed her after driving a metal block that doesn't turn corners for two weeks) everything was fine.
The mechanic said, if poss get someone to give it a 5 min tick over every three or four days
Pete
