Seems I have a developing problem on my WRX MY 02 with the clutch.
When the car is cold and I bring the clutch in (ie connect the drive) it appears to be shuddering. Sort of feels like a shudder or like the clutch is bouncing or grabbing.
I've felt pure clutch slip on another car where the clutch was badly adjusted. The engine revs would rise faster than the wheels were turning. This doesn't feel like the same problem.
It's only happening when the car is cold for a couple of miles, once the engine is warmed (hence the plates/discs) it seems to behave normally.
Does this seem like just a adjustment issue (what can be adjusted) or is something more sinister like oil on the friction plates (there's no sign of significant oil loss)?
Any able to point me in a direction here? Cause I know if I go to the dealer the engine is going to be nice and warm and they'll find nothing wrong.
