Does anybody know how much difference there is between the magnex resonated, and non-resonated centres(apart from 50 quid!).

Im looking for more noise from a prodrive backbox, but can do without booming inside.

ive got the non res and am well happy with it
havent had res 1 so dont know
not too loud just sounds much better

I've just fitted a Magnex non res centre to my UK spec MY00 in place of the non-cat Sti one I had before and it's not any louder. Just a bit deeper and nicer sounding - go for it.

 

I had the resonated one in and it was too quiet! So I cut out the box and welded a straight pipe in!

 

I have fitted a non-resonated centre section and it is slightly louder under acceleration. It seems to give my backbox a slightly deeper rumble.

A mate has a resonated centre and there is not a massive difference between the two, mine is slightly louder.
