Question

does any one know if the headers of an STI7 will fit an 01 WRX?

And if so do they give any increase in power and flow?
If any how much bhp/torque to be gained by fitting ported STI headers?
Ah so many questions!
take it easy on me guys im new to the subaru thang

any help gratefully received
thanks

They should fit, though you would be better off replacing with an equal length manifold, these flow huge amounts of air and give significant performance.

When Prodrive fiited a manifold to Nicky Grist's 22b 35 bhp was added, (though prodive's manifolds are lumpy ££). Though fiting these will transform the sound of the car to a raspy growler and the flat four sound will be lost.

Ian at Hayward & Scott manufactures manifolds contact him on 01268 727256

As for porting it does flow the gases better though overall performance is negligible and you have to watchout for garages using dremmels to do the work and charging extortianate prices for what you could almost do at home.

Many garages will have professional tools/milling machines to undertake this process.....

They do fit, but are the same as your 01 headers, except for the up pipe. Your up pipe has a cat and the STi does not. If you want to change the up pipe, go for an after market one that is matched to the inlet size of the turbo (48mm internal diameter).
